This is what I did. I saw her one day. She grins and goes "Hi!". I smile. We talk some. She makes some comment about how she was so and so's (who was goin' through some mess) good friend and would do anything for them. I smiled real big, looked her straight in the eye and said, "You know, that's what I like about you. You're SO HONEST!"
She yelled "Well, anyway, gotta so, see you later!", turned beet red, and ran into her dorm room and slammed the door.
She never talked behind my back again.

Since she went behind your back u need to confront her to her face.
She sound like a backstabber and u should have a talk with her

Ok, happened to me sooooooo many times! I would talk to ur friend and if they're starting nasty rumors about you then I would just dump them. That is rough...

That happened to me once, i told her to stop tell her to stop telling lies or your going to tell most embarrassing moment,
