My hubby had one. It was done in the Drs office in less than an hour. He just had to keep an icepack on his "boys" the rest of the day and take Tylenol. No heavy lifting for a few days. Other than that, he was fine. The ejaculation process is exactly the same, except there are not supposed to be living sperm. The ejaculate does not stay up inside you the way someone else posted. Hubby had to go in & give semen samples twice over the next 6 weeks to make sure no more living sperm were detected. We could still have sex during that time but just had to use back up protection if we didn't want to get pregnant.
It's far easier & cheaper for a man to get a vasectomy than for a woman to have a tubal ligation. Hubby & I are both gald he had it done!

Side-effects are the unwanted but usually mild and temporary effects of a successful procedure. After a vasectomy, there will be numbness caused by the local anaesthetic. As the anaesthetic wears off, the scrotum may be sore and bruising may develop. Occasionally, if the surgeon has difficulty finding both the vas deferens, the bruising can be quite severe.

As with any surgical procedure there can be some side effects.
Major complications are rare and are usually to do with infection. A small amount of redness, bruising and swelling is normal but if you develop a temperature or the swelling is not going down, increases or becomes very painful, always seek medical advice.

No, your health practitioner isn't being paranoid, he's doing his responsibility. earlier you submit to any medical technique, your health practitioner is obliged to inform you each and every of the hazards, no count number how small the danger might want to be. each and every man or woman reacts otherwise, yet I had my vasectomy over 30 years in the past and that i have not experienced any adverse consequences in besides and the tips used have more suitable significantly considering then. I felt tender sufficient to commence masturbating back the day after my technique and that i resumed finished sex 4 days later. For me the uninteresting soreness you describe, which became uncomfortable particularly than painful, went away in less than a week. the vast majority of adult men don't have any on-going part-consequences from their vasectomies, so do not worry. there is not any significant change in sexual purposes both, except infertility.

The procedure is simple, can be done in a doctors office.
You will feel like the damned thing is attached to your tonsils when the doc pulls it in order to tie it, after cutting. No pain is felt.

A couple days rest, off ones feet. I had it done on Friday, back to work on Monday

I had a friend who returned to work the next day. Sh** happened. Excessive bleeding in the scrotum, huge swelling. Much discomfort, not excruciating pain. Extended healing time.

No sex for about a month. Ejaculation normal. Just no sperm.

Prostate surgery prevents ejaculation. All semen goes into the bladder.

Had both.

You may be sore in that "region" for a day or two. Other than that you can resume your regular life........except you can't get someone pregnant.

Instead of squirting out normally, your sperm jacks into your body somewhere. Yuck and how unsatisfying would that be? I want it all to shoot out. Wear a condom.
