Your question "Is it dangerous for people to spend too much time on a hobby?" is a good question. There is nothing wrong with having a hobby, however, when the hobby keeps someone from living life, being with the ones (people) who are part of that person's life, then yes, it is not good. Sometimes folks get involved in hobbies so they avoid intimate time with other people, that can be an issue in and of itself.

It depends on the hobby.
If the hobby is dangerous itself, then every time you do it you are risking injury. If you like to ride a motorcycle without a helmet, for example, you are exposing yourself to danger each time you do it.
Spending too much time on a hobby can also cost a lot of money or take up too much time you should spend at work/school or with friends and family.
If the hobby is something you do alone, like play video games, you are at risk of damaging your social life if you play too much and neglect your friends.

I would not say dangerous but a problem. If you concentrate on one thing, like a hobby, you miss out on all the other fun things there are in life.
Many people turn hobbies into an avocation or a job. But, either way you need a rouned life that includes fun, relaxation and socialization.

No i dont think so.
Because Ronaldinho,Ronaldo,etc., first they started to play football as their hobby now which fetches him a lot of money and attention towards them as they are spending a most of their life in the football ground only.
some have the hobby of collecting old coins,stamps.
For example if some one have the hobby of collecting old coins before a decade as his full time work.
Now he may have some lakhs and lakhs in his hands.
So too much time on hobby is not a problem if we dont make our hobby in the wrong way.

Only if they do it to the exculsion of maintaining family relationships and their friendships and their job. It could be a problem if they spend too much money on their hobby.
