Well no they aren't chick cars but they aren't the best car to get unless you want to replace the transmission cause it does have a good chance of blowing. But they are good cars to cutomize but not as good as a classic Ford Mustang or Chevy Camaro. Great cars for either male or female.

All Eclipse's were not created equal. The turbo models are a great base platform for creating big horsepower. While the non-turbo models are preferred by women. As a '98 GST owner I have raced and beat many V8 Mustangs, Camaros, TA's and Corvettes. Stock and modified. I've also been beaten a few times. The kind of car you drive doesn't make you any more or less of a man. If you feel that you just have to drive a car with a big gas guzzling V8 to feel like a real man then you're definitely resolving your inferiority complex the wrong way. Any car can be fast depending on how much money you're willing to spend. So driving a Mustang GT doesn't make you more of a man than someone driving a Camry. But to answer the question. Yes. The Eclipse is a chick car which exactly why I own one. Because chicks love them. And mine will run away from your V8 whatever while getting 25+ mpg.

the guy above me is obviously a ******. LS1 F-bodies get better than 25mpg. Sure the turbos can be fast but its not going to walk an F-body. I would rather be seen in a Camaro SS with a 6-speed than a homosexual eclipse. The eclipse probably attracts gay men and 15 year old girls. You are talking out your a*s if you think you can smoke a car with real performance unless its heavily modified. And if it is, its not getting 25mpg. Not all V8s are gas guzzlers, but i would rather be seen in a malibu chevelle that gets 10mpg than a plastic eclipse. And stock, the GST makes less than 210hp. Oh I'm scared! My 300hp(when it was stock) firebird formula would sure get smoked by that piece.

Boy Oh Boy I just put a cold air intake on a 2006 red V-6 eclipse coupe with 240 watt audio with a six speed it would really go! But not as fast as my 2006, 6 speed GTO but certainly not a chic car either.

Eclipses do look like vehicles for females, but it all depends on how you feel about your sexuality. I have seen many homosexuals driving camaros and saleen mustangs. It seems to me that they are the only ones that buy them brand new. All the people I see with camaros bought them USED because they couldnt afford new sticker pricing.

I used to have a '97 GSX AWD. All black, dark tinted windows, 18s, dropped. Not a chic car at all.

ignore rick, he's a moron. according to his logic a ferrari is a chick car. it's not american and its not a V8... its a V12. I don't know about you but I'd pick a ferrari over a mustang anyday.
