Why is it that doctors call what they do "practice"?

They don't call what they do practice .................... they work from what they call a practice!!!!!

Every illness is unique. If two people have the same illness, it could be for different reasons. Doctors are never sure of what they are doing, so they are said to be practicing.
In my opinion, they never know what they are doing, so I don't go to doctors. I haven' seen on in forty years. Whenever I get something wrong me, I think very hard about it, look for information on the web, seriously consider my diet and exercise, look for any herbal solutions, mediate on the subject, and usually the problem goes away on its own. Most people's problems go away on their own, but because they have visited the doctor and taken some pills, they think the doctor cured them. Look at how often placebos are prescribed, then you know that the body cures itself, as long as you don't fill it with too many of their experimental drugs!!

Because they are "practing medicine".
Basically they are still unsure of all that they are doing, but only because there is such a vast amount of knowledge to have. Its about ten years of college/internship/residency, its alot to recall on the spot.
So in other words you are practicing it constantly, yet you can never master it all.

I don't know. Why do people show a monkey as their picture? I say to each it's own....But in reality it's just what it says..It's their practice ...Look it up...
