why people consult astrologers?

For the same reason as believing in religion. People think it is going to make their life better.

People are always looking for guidance, be it from churches, psychics, astrology, whatever. It's too hard to go through life for most people without at least believing there's some way of knowing the future. It's just another human weakness. That being said, astrology can have some eerie accuracies sometimes :)

I feel, people consult 'astrologers', because, 'they' don't think it is as bad, as consulting a 'psychic'! (*Think about it? At least with an astrologer, they can pretend, that some credible training, or study took place!)

Someone told me how to be a psychic. It probably is the same for Astrologers. He said that women only want to know the answers to two questions: When am I going to get married and how many kids am I going to have.

Because they have learned that, however illogical, there seems to be some linkage between personality type and time movement: basically, that pattern we refer to as astrology.

Because we want to have a little control over our destiny, and when we dint know what is going to happen, we try to find someone who can tell us, what we want to hear. So its better to go to a friend, and cheaper, jeje.
