Girl, I am 2 days away from my due date. This is the most miserable I have ever been in my life!!! People have told me alot of things like castor oil, having sex, and walking helps. I've done everything but the castor oil bc somebody said it could be dangerous bc it can dehydrate you from going to the bathroom so much. I can't walk any more either because it's so hot here (GA). So I'm pretty much just waiting. So hang in there girl!! I know exactly how you feel!!! Best wishes and good luck!

I cannot believe you people with all of your advice on putting stuff into your body to make a baby come before its time!
You are miserable. right now . and you only have to be miserable a few more days in this pregnancy to have a heathy baby. If that baby does not stay in there for the proper length of time, it might not be so easy on the baby,
A re you considering your child at all here. No I don't think you are. This is a human being you are growing in there, not a puppy. It has a whole life time ahead of it and if you do something to make that life not so wonderful cause you cannot wait a few more days cause you are miserable, how do you think you will feel for the rest of your life?
Wait and suffer it will be the price you pay for a healthy human being born to the world and your family. do not be so selfish now. You have come this far, you can wait so more and be fine.

Since you can't walk, there's not many other suggestions to help this labor come quicker. Relax. Once the babies out, later you'll be missing that cute lil tummy!
However, when my sister in law was pregnant, she was tired of her stomach after 8 months and 2 weeks, and took a long hot bath, the next morning her water broke.

Take evening primrose oil tablets/ You can find them in any pharamcy in the herbal section. Also sex does wonders too. There is a chemical in semen as with the primrose that can help you efface. Take long walks. Though that only really helps if you aren't used to walking. At your next visit as your midwife or doc to "strip your membranes"

don't take castor oil what ever you do unless you want to spend th last few days of your pregnancy on the potty.

Eat lots of romaine lettuce and get off your tush and move around the heavier the objects the better. Maybe even get a job I worked two jobs with my last one. I've had 4 kids and the romaine lettuce seemed to pop them out the same day for some reason.

Actually the baby determines when he/she is ready to be born signaling your body to respond... you can try to have sex, don't try castor oil it will give you diarrea and you'll just end up uncomfortable, light exercises in the air conditioned house, but ultimately you are just dropping hints on the baby by contracting your uterus... it's when the baby decides that you will go into labor

I feel for you, my son was born Septemer 12, (30 years ago) that is a crappy time of year to be pregnant. Just remember the prize, and congratulations. (My daughter is due Sept. 30 but I don't think she'll make it longer than 4 more weeks).

Walking in airconditioned malls is great excerise. Also up-lifting when you look at the little tiny baby clothes, or the clothes you can imagine yourself in after. I know this time seems to suck but make this time yours, be as selfish as you can possibly be. Very soon you are going to beg for a free afternoon... GO OUT TO LUNCH WITH A FRIEND TOMORROW!! OKAY.
