No. The only age that's too old for anything really, is the age at which you die.

Go dance your butt off!

Not at all. If it is something that you feel in your heart, you can do it. Check out the different classes in your area by going and observing their beginner classes. See if you think you would be comfortable with the teacher and the other people in the class. Some studios have adult classes that a15 year old would fit well in. You can also look things up on line such as ballet terms, positions, etc., so you are familiar with what the teacher is talking about. If you are not in good shape, start walking and stretching before you take the classes so you can concentrate on dancing and not on how much it hurts to hold that arabesque. You can do it! Good luck to you and enjoy - dance is something you can enjoy your whole life.

Definitely not. I started ballet for the first time when I turned 18 and pointe when I was 20. It's hard, but if you stick with it you'll find that dancing is very gratifying.

Good Luck and if you have any questions about ballet just ask!

It's never old to begin dance.I think dancing is great and you should really try it. Although I got to say that ballet has a lot of discipline and it is very serious.Still, you will enjoy dancing very much.Good Luck.

15 is definitely not too old. I started ballet when I was 15 and it was definitely worth it. I know some people start when they are older but end up better than someone who started when they were young... all you have to do is practice and do your best.

Thank you so much for asking this question. I always wanted to be a dancer (like for dance competitions) but my parents think that they all start at around age 5 (which is kind of true). I am 13 and really want to start.

Best luck!

No way! You can start anything at anytime! (you may have to look into more than one dance school, though)

I went to my niece's dance recital (she is 4) and there were some classes that performed that were adults. (one woman was in her 70's!!)

Do what you love!
