I haven't really ever noticed this but I remember in one movie they said something about a specific time. If I remember right it was that Emily Rose movie. In the movie they said something about a certain hour that mocked God in some way and that was the certain "witching hour."
I am not really sure but maybe the two have to deal with each ohter in some way.
I hope I helped in some way. Good Luck!

This places an entire new spin on the word concord, does not it? i won't be ready to think of checking out that the guy with whom i might chosen to spend something of my existence is relatively my brother - there are maximum of tiers on which that doesn't artwork for any individuals (if we are popular). Incest is possibly the only conventional taboo and the horror with which we react shows our aversion to such relationships. i've got self assurance relatively sorry for the couple. This must be devastating for them and for his or her families. The businesses which oversaw their adoptions must be held to blame in some way for splitting the twins, i think.

Three in the morning is usually the time bad things happen in real life.
Repo men come at three in the morning.
Cops might let you wake someone up for a come get me outta jail call after the bar lets out.
People seem to die in hospitals more in wee hours between midnight and dawn.
So I imagine its a happy medium that is used in horror flicks.

Probably directors just seen that time in a prevous Horror movie and thought it would be a good idea to do the same thing and that's what I think happens!!!

wow that's a great observation i have watched those movies a dozen + times. and never noticed however sometimes they will put little things like that like in the 6th sense just before something happened they would show something in red or something like that:)

It might be beacuse the "Witching Hour" or more commonly known as "Midnight" actually occurs at that time and everyone knows that's the time when all the scary stuff happens!!!!

i'm not so sure about the 15, but i actually heard that 3 represents the trinity and that 3 pm is actually fortuitous. conversely 3AM represents the anti-trinity which indicates unspeakable evil.
i want to say i saw this in a blatty interview, but ... you know ...

generally they are just trying to display a late time on the clock i think if you have seen the same time a few times over it was probably just a coincidence.
