Im not sure if i want to take all of it off like eddie wall or just some because i dont want to catch a edge midway down the rail and get a stair massage...Help!

Really, the most you should do is take a wet stone and dull them a bit. Don't take a file and just grind them down unless you will ONLY use the board for rails and jibbing. If you do this the board will not turn very well, especially in firm conditions.

A wet stone is the same thing used to sharpen knives. Just place it on the base of your board and run it over your edges while rotating it over to your boards sidewall. Only do this a couple times and this will round off the sharp edge and reduce the likelyhood of hang ups. This way you are only taking a little bit of material off and can resharpen it (it'll never go back to the way it was) when you get bored of the rails.

Keep in mind that guys like Eddie Wall get all their boards for free and you can bet that when he isn't jibbing he won't be riding the filed down board. Have fun
