I think that it is a natural first reaction when someone has been betrayed by someone they love and trusted. The pendulum swings both ways, usually a guy and his friends feel the same way when they are faced with the same situation. It is embarrassing to be cheated on mainly, it's a pride and a hurt thing. I believe that sometimes these things can be worked out. My brother and his wife went through the same thing about six and a half years ago. He was the one who strayed, but she had become completely inattentive to him or his needs(not just sexual either). She wasn't cleaning the house, cooking, washing, or being a companion in any sort of way. It still gave him no right to turn his attention to another woman(though some women will lock on to a situation like that, the other woman always seems to be sooo understanding of the poor guys needs). I was hard on him and my sister-in-law both. They got counseling and saved a now 23 years old marriage. It can be worked out, and I don't believe the once a cheat always a cheat theory. There were circumstances that lead up to this particular event.

Because once a cheater, always a cheater. If not actually doing it, then thinking about it in their mind. Dump him fast. If the female cheats on the guy - SAME ADVICE - dump HER.

Because many people don't know how to forgive. You can tell it right away on the way they give others some advise. If he or she always advises other people to dump their boyfriend once they cheat, it only means that they do not forgive.

Why I can' say. I think it depends on the relationship. I guess if its been a long-term one then cheating ONCE can be worked through and MAYBE eventually forgiven. However, if you've only been together for a short while and he cheats then he needs to be gotten rid of...

It's not always just girls that recommend dumping the jerk.
I would ALWAYS recommend to any woman that has been cheated on that a cheater is not a worthy partner.

Because if someone cheats on you they clearly have no respect for you or for the love you supposedly share. Why would you want to continue seeing someone that would treat you so disrespectfully?

Robbie is right, and because most of them never had the courage to dump their own blokes, so they want someone else to do it by proxy.
Get used to it, its life eh!
