Yes, if both parents carry the gene for blue eyes. You can carry a trait without exhibiting it.

All sorts of things are possible with genetic inheritence - David Bowie has one blue and one brown eye, for example. A simple mutation can also lead to characteristics in offspring which neither parent carries the gene(s) for.

Yes, blue eyes are recessive, if the blue eyed gene is b and brown is B and green is G then mom could be Bb and dad Gb, so a kid will have a 25% chance of being bb which would be blue.

Yes, My son has blue eyes and blonde hair and his dad and I both have brown eyes, I get a lot of ribbing for it, but they shut up when I offer them a framed paternity test on the wall in place of a Christmas present.
recessive genes can crop up sometimes, that is why it is so much fun waiting to see what your new little baby is going to look like.

Yes it is definately true. I have hazel/green eyes and my husband has brown eyes. Our son has extremely blue eyes with no other colors. My mom has blue eyes and my husbands dad has blue eyes so we think that thats where they came from.

If the mummy has brown eyes she would be able to the two that BB homozygous eye coloration or Bb heterozygous eye coloration the place she includes the recessive blue gene. the place via fact the father who has blue eyes could have bb. So if the mummy has BB there's a nil% danger or the youngster having blue eyes and a a hundred% danger of the youngster having the Bb gene. If the mummy has Bb there's a 50% danger of the youngster having Bb and a 50% (brown with recessive gene) danger of the youngster having bb (blue)

I can't remember what colour eyes my mum & dad have, but neither have green eyes and I do. It's all to do with dominant genes.
