Racial profiling is inclusion of race in the profile of a persons considered likely to commit a particular crime or type of crime (see Offender Profiling). Towards the end of the 20th century in the United States, the practice fell into disfavor with the general public as abuses by law enforcement came to light. Race riots have also been cited as a symptom of racial profiling.

Behavior profiling definition
A description of the salient psychological and behavioral characteristics of a person. It portrays the individual psychodynamically by identifying personality and behavior traits or patterns that uniquely classify and distinguish him from members of the general population.

Racial has to do with ethnicity. And is based on bias due to a person heritage. Behavior has nothing to do with ethnicity and can be good or bad depending on each individual. Racial bias is going on right now due to the problems in Iraq. They profile a person due to their ethnicity and in behavior profile it is based on a behavior one chooses . Regardless of your skin color. Hope this helped.

If there were a black man walking down the street, and I screamed at the top of my lungs, "ARREST HIM, OFFICER -- HE MUGGED SOMEBODY!!!" that would be racial profiling. Clearly black people mug people (but, so do white people, asian people, hispanic people. . . .) That's racial profiling.

If there are four guys wearing hats backwards, with baggy jeans sitting in a park, all slouched down . . . talking -- and I called the police beause I believed they were all doing drugs -- that would be behavioral profiling. I can't rightfully assume they're on drugs -- maybe they're just in from work, and they've changed, and are all exhausted . . .maybe they've just finished playing basketball, and are tired, so they sat down to relax.

That's behavioral profiling.
