im an idiot and i just was wondering how

Heat it up, and put your shirt (or whatever) on the ironing board. Test the iron on a small part of the shirt to make sure it doesn't scorch, then just press it across the fabric to flatten all the wrinkles. Keep doing it until the shirt is perfect. Keep the iron moving and don't set it on it's hot face on the fabric or the ironing board.

It has a fabric guide on the iron so you get your setting right.

Well, you plug the iron in, and then you bring a shirt that's wrinkled and put the iron holder in your hand and start going over the wrinkled parts. Then, when you're done with the wrinkled shirt, you could either:
A: Iron more shirts that are wrinkled
or
B:Unplug the iron and let it cool off for a few minutes before putting it back to it's place.
