Planet Out.com has become so political and activist, that it's just a bunch of damn political shrieking anymore. Also, their message boards suck. They used to be cool, but now most of them are all jammed up with spam. Planet Out REALLY sucks. I'm disappointed. Anyone else notice that? Why does everything gay have to turn into a big political whining session???
We GET IT already. Gays don't like Republicans and bible believing Christians. So what the hell ELSE is new?
Most of the gay sites are just preaching to the choir. Is anyone else sick of this?
I'm gay, and the number one reason I want gay marriage to be legal is so activist gays will shut the hell up about it. Although, I'm sure they'll find something else to scream about... >:-(

Just Jack: Why don't you do something about this...as in join a group, political or not, help get equal rights for equal people, help gays destroy bigotry, help make it very unpopular to bash gays, help achieve true freedom for gays....instead, you are whining about those who do care, state what they care about...I agree that bitching is not the way to get it done..downright anarchy is probably what it will take, but I, for one, am not afraid of riots in the street if that is what it takes. The only thing that people seem to understand is fear...perhaps it is time to throw a little fear in those who profess to hate us without knowing us, in those who preach "Kill a ***** for God". When fear replaces bashing, then, perhaps we will see a change in attitude of those who would like to see us dead in the name of their god.

Yeah planet out has gone OUT LOL the message boards are way behind real time... post a message or response and it may take days or weeks to be added... not to mention all the spam.. Gay.com is much better... It has replaced planet out... I think they are owned by the same folks... not sure though...
I do think we need activist as well as be advocates when we can... So that part of it isn't really bothersome for me... but I'm sure many share your feelings about it

I think a lot of the gay sites like planetout.com are very political. yes, there is a lot of "political shrieking." I don't think they've gotten worse. I still like to read it for news. yes, some of it may be "preaching to the choir." on the other hand, if we don't keep "shrieking" they will stop listening. my partner and I want to be legal, too. and we met each other through planetout.com
