What, precisely, is "megabus"? I keep hearing about it in connection with rapid transit and intercity transport in the U.S. of A.

In the US context it is a subsidiary of Coach USA which is itself owned by the Scottish company Stagecoach PLC. It is a low-cost no frills long distance coach operation using demand-managed prices like the low-cost airlines.

it is a bus company like greyhound but better they just serve the midwest (i.e. Missouri , Illionis , Indiana and michigan i think )
