how much does a barista at starbucks get paid?

i'm not talking manager, i'm talking the person behind the counter taking the orders and making the drinks. what is the hourly pay for that?

I am not sure they have to pay them. It think baristas work at Starbucks just for the sheer pleasure of seeing some fool pay five bucks for some tricked-up cup of coffee with an idiotic name.

$7.25 (starting rate) in North Carolina. Plus about an extra $50+ a week in tips.
