Incomplete legal description? Record a "corrective" deed with the proper legal description. Incomplete legal signature and attestation? You'll need a corrective deed for that, too.

How is it incomplete? My best suggestion is to get the original WD back from the Recording Office and "amend" it so that the legal reads correctly. Then Re-record the document.
The legal should have Lot & Block (or Unit # or Tract) Subdivision, Plat No, City/County, State and Judicial District
If you're able to re-record, I would put at the bottom "this document is being re-recorded to correct the legal description"

Check with your county's equalization department to make sure they have the correct legal. Then contact the "Grantor" (the person or entity that gave you the deed). They can give you an ammended deed with the correct legal but make sure both deeds are recorded at your county's register of deeds office. The new deed should state that it is ammended to correct the legal description from the previous deed in Liber ?? page???.

You need to do a title search. Call your local title insurance company. A good real estate agent will be able to give you a reference. You may have to do another closing, but it's worth it.
