I have shaved my chest dozens of times -- and, I've never felt any cooler.

I'd say leave it. They say never shave a dog or cat because the fur is designed to insulate against heat and allow excess heat to radiate away from the skin. So I'd go with what you have.

I'm a (retired) hairdresser, and use my salon clippers with a blade guard to shear my hubby's chest hair down to 1/3-1/4". (Any shorter, and he jags me as we snuggle.) He swears it's a whole lot cooler. I tried waxing him once; it's the closest thing I've ever seen to a man crying. I've never waxed my own chest, but judging from his pain response, I wouldn't recommend it.

I would say no, you would not be any cooler. In fact I would suggest that the hair acts as in insulator to keep the heat at bay.

dont like, hairy man that work out in the summer get the feeling that they have a jacket on? cause like... its hot, and like you got hairs [fur] on you. i think its "cooler" if you shave it off.

I doubt it is cooler, no, don't shave it. Try dusting your body with cornstarch baby powder before putting on your shirt. It'll keep you drier. Think about it, do you think ladies keep cooler just cuz they shave their legs? lol NOOOOOOO

No, that hair holds perspiration which helps cool the torso as it evaporates.

Don't shave, it will itch like crazy. If anything have it waxed. Yeah it will hurt but at least it won't itch.

Probably won't make much difference. But it's an easy experiment to try.
