americans seem to want the rest of the world to be americans: so why are they so mad about immigration?

Wrong, that's how you see America's view, most people I know don't want all people to be American, just civil,

someday when your a little older you may come to realize the impact that immigration will have on your kids lives

I certainly don't want all you people to be Americans,we have far too many malcontents as it is.We don't have a problem with legal immigration ,its the people that break the law and enter illegally then expect us to take care of them,thru welfare,health care and subsidized housing.
The only problem we have it the legality of it and the fact that they will work for substandard wages and that causes problems with American workers and their way of life.
If you come to a foreign country ,the people in that country shouldn't learn the the visitors language,the visitor should learn your language.I have no desire for any one from any where to act like or emulate the US in any way.But as the saying goes,when in Rome do as the Romans.

We are madd because when we apply for free medical help we don't get it also with food stamps and housing.

Maybe we americans should write Bush a letter and tell him to call Pres. Fox and tell him we are coming and we expect to get treated they way we treat immigrants her in the U.S.A.

Because they are idealistic hypocrites.
Everyone bases their opinion from their own life experiences. It seems though that so many feel that others must disengage from what they know as reality through their experiences and adopt the views of whomever is a better debater.
