Three weeks ago, I told my boss that I'm quitting and I'm giving him a three weeks notice (if you are wondering why three weeks, it's because I'm somewhat related to my boss). I told him he needs to find a replacement for my position and that I need to train him or her. Well, two weeks go by and no replacement yet. Four days ago, I went to him and asked him "what's going on" (basically, where's my replacement). He replies "I don't know". I said "That's not the answer I'm looking for". Finally, a day ago, he brings in this guy who I think will do. Today, he pulls me aside and asks me if I think this guy will be ready on Monday (by the way, this Friday is my last day, in case you are wondering) to do the job himself. And he also said if he's not ready, can I help him a Monday.
Now, do you think that's bull****, because I believe it is. I told him today that my last day is Friday. I have to look after myself, not his company.
Give me some feedback. I'm curious.

For the people who think I should come in on Monday to help this guy out, remember it is the responsibility of my boss to get on this replacement right away. Three weeks is plenty of time. That was stupid on behalf of my boss and also, he made a bad decision.
He can't expect me to stop what I'm doing (meaning I have interviews to go to. I got to be here for myself) and help him out for one more day. Who knows, maybe he wants me to stay for another week or two or three......etc. etc.
If you are wondering, my job requires a lot of physical work. I've been working there for two years. I'm tired and I'm done. I need to focus on a career that will make me happy.
