Yes I did and have been for almost 18 years. I wish that he was a handy man. I have friends ,who's husbands can fix anything, but I can do as much as the one that I have.

As long as he's working to pay the handyman, and not being a couch potato, what's the problem? If all husbands could fix everything, there would be an awful lot of unemployed plumbers, carpenters and mechanics!

My husband is not handy, and yes it sucks to have to pay for things to be fixed, maybe that is why we rent a house instead of buying one.

Hey Dirk...well lucky for me my father is a handy-man that knows how to do just about everything...plus he makes me gift certificates for his handy-man services on his computer...so I just cash them in...hehe. Though my boyfriend's done a few things around the house for me that I wasn't sure how to do..like install a new light in the pantry..rewirin' and all. And I have a favorite little fan next to my bed and it stopped working. He took it apart and waaa-laaa...I've got my fan back! But my X was a mechanic and that you'd to come in real handy. Now I have to take it too the shop! But I was pretty proud of myself because I fixed all my sprinklers (about 30+ when my last puppy got ahold of them)..
So I was pretty proud of myself for learning how to do that.
Though I'm a pretty handy gal if I say so myself! hehe
My neighbors always calling me over to her house to help her fix things around the house!

Here's a little secret ladies...If you really suck at something the first time your wife asks you to do it, you never get asked again. Just a husband's point of view.

My husband is not good at fixing things. He works real hard and hires someone to do the things that he can't do himself. Actually, Im pretty good at fixing things without him. But iit's good to know that we can hire someone.
