Yes I do - I support Israel totally.

In the first place, Hezbollah is a terrorist organization.

In the second place, a lot of the so-called destruction is photographic fakery. Reuters is no longer accepting pictures from it's previous source in Beirut for this very reason. A lot of the smoke in these photographs show unnatural patterns, that could only result from it being altered in a photo editor. The smoke was "cloned" to make it look like there was more smoke than there really was. Some of the buildings were "cloned" also, to make it look like there was more damage.

There are scenes with dead bodies that were staged.

I'm not saying there weren't any dead bodies, but Hezbollah has been taking advantage of photographic opportunity, by showing the same dead bodies over and over again. In at least one photograph? There is the scene of a man in a green helmet holding a dead child. The problem with that? There is also a picture of the same man as one of the dead casualties.

In the third place, the people of Lebanon willingly elected members of a terrorist organization - Hezbollah - as their government representatives. So YES - they got what was coming to them.

When you sleep with dogs you wake up with fleas.

When you sleep with Hezbollah you wake up with missiles.

This American Gentile stands with Israel.

Israel has known for some time that this would have to be done eventually. Unfortunately, PM Ulmert had a vision of his legacy as bringing peace by giving away the West Bank. (idiot.) When faced with a 2-front war, he wimped out. He has no military experience and cared more about his image than the survival of Israel.

He'll be thrown out by the voters very soon and Bebe will do it correctly. (Because Hizbolah/Iran will not stop trying to destroy them)

What is "correctly"? Overwelming Force, on the ground. USA Pres Bush stalled the world for a month to give Israel time to get the job done and its bumbling political leadership refused Victory.

Very disappointing.

Of course not. Israel has committed numerous war crimes over the past couple of decades and continues to do so. In the latest installment of its war crime saga, it has killed over 1000 Lebanese citizens and is indiscriminately bombing the public infrastructure. It is also illegally occupying the West Bank, despite UN Resolution 242, which told Israel to withdraw from the West Bank. Israel refuses to listen to the UN and refuses to negotiate. It kidnaps Lebanese and Palestinian citizens in the middle of the night and throws them in jail, and yet nobody does nothing and Israel refuses to free the innocent people it dumps in jail. Israel bulldozes houses and cuts off the power and water supply to villages so that Israeli settlers can occupy the land. Something needs to be done.

Hezbollah must not stop fighting until Israel respects international law and stops committing war crime, liberates the prisoners which it is unlawfully holding, and withdraws from the territories it is illegally occupying. Then, there will be peace.

i really wish no longer. i don't think of the united states is waiting to get right into a conflict with Iran. the end results of Iraq shows how valuable it may be. a minimum of Iraq allegedly had human rights violations and guns of mass destruction that it grow to be prohibited from having. As stupid at they could be, I doubt the US authorities is dumb adequate to anticipate something except a massacre and international huge destablization from outright conflict in the middle East. Such action might want to be tantamount to a cutting-aspect day marketing campaign from the Muslim attitude. i'm hoping that quickly all communities can lay down hands and be conscious the follly of on-going hostilities. i do no longer see Israel making any associates in this present day conflict. it truly is transforming into thoroughly absurd.

Israel have the right to defend it's self!! Hezbollah kidnapped 2 soldiers, men who held guns and wore uniforms, men who choose to be in the military forces, there is a war .. they were kidnapped, so u bomb civilians killing children and woman as an act of defense, they disgraced the word defense, so people stop being lame and find urselves a new word, massacre maybe

No. I'm with Israel in its to defend itself, to doits best to liberate its kidnapped soldiers, to ensure its people's safety. But they know that a guerrilla force cannot be defeated with air raids and tanks.
Result of this war: Hezbollah is way stronger now and increased its legitimicy as the only defender of Lebanon.
