There is no bad luck or good luck. It's simply a fact of life that $hit Happens. Great stuff happens too, but for some reason most people tend to remember the bad stuff more than the good.

If something bad happens to you that you have some control over (e.g. making a stupid mistake), then try not to let it happen again (e.g. learn from your mistake). If something bad happens to you that you have no control over, chalk it up to whatever actually caused it.

Luck is simply a desire of people to externalize their destiny. It is, in a way, giving up control of a part of your life to some mysterious outside force called "luck" (but which is usually just blind chance).

Learning and luck have nothing to do with one another. I believe you learn things all the time. Keeping an open mind to new ideas or things you don't understand is a good way of learning things. It is not bad luck your having. It might be that your going through some obstacles and difficulties during this particular time in your life. Remember we all have choices and we can change things in our life. We also all make mistakes...we learn from them and/or try to fix it,,, and move on. Maybe this is a good time for you to start positive affirmations and say them everyday...i.e."I have an abundance of everything."

I would like to point out that stupidity and luck are two separate entities, and to confuse one for the other is to make excuses for action without thought. Once you've figured out what it is that I've just said, you'll be able to ask a real question.

You've learned another way that doesn't work. Remember it so you don't repeat it.

The best thing you can do is forgive yourself and move onward without examining the mistake over and over again.
