The most up to date book on mental health and mental health disorders is the DSM-IV (TR) 2000. The DSM is a great tool for defining and describing mental disorders that are recognized by the American Psychiatry and Psychology Association. (see link below)

It is pretty easy to read and understand even for the a person who is not a psych professional. You can get the most current one at Amazon.com for $64.80 (link below).

You can also get the DSM in a small handbook size that is a lot less expensive. They are also available at most libraries in the reference sections. I hope this helps.

You can find a lot of FREE books on Mental Health at the Library, just be sure to bring them back when you are done with them. "The Quiet Room" is a great book on Mental Health, as is "72 Hour Hold".

You are using the worlds largest and mostly free library - the internet.. just google whatever subject you want and follow whatever tangents it may lead you to.. do it as a detective might, following leads - let your terrific powers of intuition guide you to the answers that might help.. all my best..
