Is this a new Force power that Lucas exposed? I am currently reading the novel Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader. In the book, the author kind of hints around that Palpatine / Sidious had a role in aiding Anakin's relationship with Padme. The novel also indicates that Sidious can alter midi-chlorians in limited ways. (But bringing a person back to life is still out of his realm however.) Darth Vader no longer has dreams in the book either. Is this supporting evidence? What do you think?

I think that is another author's interpretation of the story, I personally beleive Palpatine was simply a manipulator who knew how to get to Anakin, they had been friends since he was very young so it probably wasnt even hard to do. I think Anakin's dreams/premonitions were from his own power and that power was too hard for him to control. Plus the rigid schooling of the jedi's was flawed in many ways that all added up to his downfall

I think so, he was behind all of it to turn him into Darth Vader. I new Palpatine was the Emporor in the first movie already.
