Having sex is not just about on how many dates you have to go on before you have sex. Having a sexual experience with someone is a personal and intimate thing. You need to look at the situation. Do you care about the person and do they care about you? Is this person someone you really want to be with? Is it someone you want to get serious with? It really boils down to what you really want and what you're looking for. Unless all you want is some casual sex...just make sure you have protection.

If we're seeing each other exclusively, then after about 3-4 weeks. This probably equals 10 dates or so of exclusive dating.

There's no set number. I've been in relationships where there's no sex even after a year; and, I've been in relationships where sex happened on the first date. Everything rests on both partners' willingness, morals and goals.

Not to sound like a Prude, but with the way the world is now & so many Herpes commercials. I would be very careful. Did you know that a female that has unprotected sex, even oral sex can get Cancer from having sex with multiple partners. Most of my girlfriends after HS, all had to have biopsies when they had their papsmeres & several of them had some cancerous cells.

Well...I'm married, but we probably went on 8-10 dates before we did it.

I don't have to go on a date to have sex. I am married. We do go on dates though.

I think you should have sex when you are comfortable enough with that person to do so......whether it's one date or twenty. Let each couple consent as to when the 'right time' is right.

I wanna make sure that they are there for me so I'd say if the person seems serious the 6 is the limit.
