Why do so many people think that celebs are so great? Its like they worship them.

People like to know info about people they know. Many people gossip about their neighbors to their Friends, about their family to their barber, and so on. For example, "Did you hear so-and-so is pregnant?" , or "Can you believe that the Smith's are getting divorced?". Its the same thing with celebrities, people know them so therefore they gossip about them. The only difference is that more people are familiar with celebrities then they are with "Joe" down the street.

Gossip, people r very "nosy"(not sure how to spell, but u get it) and they think that they live their lifes in perfect state. No problems and not a care in the world.

because celebrities' lives are for them to "dissect" w/o them feeling very nosy as caring about,checking on a neighbor or a friend or whoever that ahs personal relationship w/ them.

because they need ppl they can identify with, to dream of etc, basically ppl of today have no lifes at all.
