Indeed. There was one case where a passenger discovered some writing in Arabic stuck in the seat in front of him. He alerted the flight crews, who checked out the paper. There were no Arabic translators handy, so they decided to cancel the flight -- obviously, all people who read or write Arabic are terrorists, so it was a good choice. After two days, when a translator was obtained, it was ascertained that the paper simply said several prayers in Arabic.
Much ado about nothing.

The fact of the matter is there is nothing scarier in this day and age then a person acting irrationally on an airplane.......have you witnessed a panic attack? They can be quite severe and people do some really freaky dangerous things. I've seen them lash out and seriously injure other people, none of which is safe on an airplane.....one person panicking can cause another to freak out. Then all hell breaks loose!
We could have been a little more aware and a hell of a lot more proactive on 9/11......but we as american's don't want our freedom infringed upon. So we complain about restrictions and think the danger is over.......it isn't.........they're just waiting for our gaurds to be down.
Better to be jumpy than dead!

This is for the safety of everyone on board the plane, not to mention the thousands of life at stake if it is a real terrorist attack. It is only acted upon the way it should be. Every person nowadays are ready to face the consequences of being killed in action, just to abort any attempt by terrorist group to commit their evil desire. 9/11 is more than enough as a wake up call. Our duty as law abiding citizens are to obey lawful orders promulgated by proper authorities. Do not get annoyed or act the negative way as a result of such incident. Remember, that these had been done to save and protect life, including you and the life of your love ones.

Yes, we are a bit jumpy. The war in Iraq and Afghanistan has done that to many of us. I just wish the other countries who harbor terrorists weren't enjoying it so much.
