I keep replacing the fuses for the outdoor fan. The contacts have burnt out. Can I replace the fuse box?. Is that the obvious and easy fix?

If you are still using fuses then your home is more that 20 years old. This might be a good time to upgrade to a more modern panel with circuit breakers. It's not difficult to do, but you will have to figure out how to de-energize the incoming electricity. Unless you're very good, I would not recommend doing the work witht he circuit hot.

You may not need to replace the fuse box, just replace the fuse clips.
