My husband and I are in dire straits right now. We need to come up with 700 dollars to cover rent for August....he leaves for basic training in September but the Army will not help us. His job ended last month, and my temp assignment ended in June, and we have been scraping by ever since. I am trying to find another job/temp assignment, but that doesn't pay my rent now...
We have exhausted every resource available and now are having to ask for the money. Our friends and families are in no position to help. Does anyone know of anything, or anyone, who can help us? We live in Montgomery county, PA. Would any one of you help us? We would be willing to take down your info and repay you as soon as we get the money. I normally wouldn't care, but we have a 15 month old baby, and if we go homeless, she will be taken away. I can't live without my daughter. Please....somebody help me....

I asked the rock star question when I wasn't in this position....but it's okay.
Thanks to the people who had kind words. I appreciate it.
to the person who said the military takes care of it's own....yes they do...if you're a member. My husband has not gone to basic training yet.
It's okay though. I'll think of something....without whoring myself out....but if all resorts fail and I have to do that...I guess I have to. But I have faith in God. Again, thank you to the people who had kind words. It helps.

With a computer at home and internet connection, you can start earning from home, without any investment. You should choose your work at home job according to your skills and time available.
The simplest work at home job is answering phone calls for companies like WorkathomeAgent, Alpine Access, Liveops. You will need a quiet enviroment at home without any disturbance. To apply you will have to complete an online application form on the companies website . A list of companies with websites is available at

Go to the churches(salvation army, and others) mostof them would hlep you to some degree.
YOU should check with the welfare. most states system will give you help. YOu probley are not going to get help online. It doesn't work and there are practually no one who will give money to strangers as usually it's a scam. I am sorry for you but I think if you go to the salvatuion army they will aid you. He should have (and you ) signed up for unemployment benefits. In penn. I think the Catholic church helps people in time of need and I don't think they would turn you away.

Ive been in similar position as you are in now, my was a little different, but needing money fast one thing you can try is a payday loan, if they are available where you are at, you borrow a specific amount of money and with the promise to repay that amount of money on the next payday, it has gotten me out of some tight spots

Wow, that has to be the lamest, most unbelievable cry-for-attention/lie I've seen here yet.
"Soul of Darkness" eh? You came to Answers to ask us something like that, and then ask about our favourite rock star in another post?
Wow, you're so desperate for money from anyone that you're willing to not only give out your personal address and information, but also need to know who our favourite rock star is! Now -THAT'S- desperate!
I tell you what, sell me your baby. I could use an apprentice . . .

Have you tried talking to your landlord? If he is an understanding sort of person, he might let you get a month or two behind in the rent, as long as he thinks you are going to be able to catch up. And it usually takes a little time and costs him money to evict you, so he might not be anxious to do that.

Sorry for other people's funny answers..... but I know they are intolerable to you right now. I would say try the churches.. they sometimes can help. I myself a student... and I basically had to beg door to door to find someone who can be a consignee for me. So, yea its hard. I didn't go to church cause I am not religious and its against my morality to go and say bullshit which is not true.

sorry, how can we know that you are telling the truth; if you are serious, why won't you sell your computer right now, cut your internet service and sell more stuff in the house? GOOD LUCK though
