yes but takes some money. w about $2500 you can get a turbo kit and you'll make about 220Hp, may not sound like a lot but look at your car weight. about 2200lbs divided into 220hp about 10 pounds per hp, thats really good almost about what a stock 06 evo would do. just think an s2000 is about 12lbs per hp so you would have one heck of a monster. now if you really got the big bucks you can get a turbo eclipse engine or even better te 4g63 engine off an evo, and yes i has been done and those cars are in the 10's and 9's. a stock STI is in the 14's. the best upgrade you can make is a turbo. my friend did this to his 98 and this thing is unbeatable. i have and 01 prelude w the common upgrades intake headers exhaust and cams and the power is nowhere near the turbo's power

wow don't let the four cyl engine fool you and the automatic gearbox. Don't do it unless your looking for sleeper bracket racer. Once upon a time there was this dodge spirit powder blue with disk hubcaps strange why the moon hubcaps? Hiding behind were Nitto Drag Radials. Four door small car no stripes scoops and beanie baby stuffed animals glued to the rear shelf visible out the rear window because it was all you were going to see. Looked like your grandmothers car Under the hood was a turbo big enough to put your hand into the inlet a fender to fender intercooler and that 2.5L four cyl was cranking out over 350 horse power. I saw 10.90 in the 1/4 and he was just test and tuning it. Once you beat all your friends out of hundreds of dollars racing that car... no one will race you. So Mitsubushi Has to be a secret spend over 10,000 dollars on the drivetrain it don't tell any one and test it away from your home track.

NO, why would you do that? If you are gonna race it get an AWD, something with a turbo if you are going for an import vehical. Do some good research. People are only going to give you their opinions on here, definatly do research. I gave you my opinion above, but I own a AWD, 06' Subaru Impreza STi that I race at the track. Before this I owned a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII, they are fast turbo cars, stock from the dealerships.

Your better of not doing it unless you are willing to spend alot of money, plus those cars are hideous. Who is going to take you serious in that???? Get yourself an evo or sti, many cocky people drive those and many ricers run from them.
