Lebanon and Hezbollah aren't fighting per se. Hezbollah is a Lebanese terrorist group formed in 1983 in response to the first Israeli incursion, and Lebanon has kept them around, since they are a capable militia that can fill any holes left behind by the Lebanese Army, which is a rather weak fighting force.

If you mean why Hezbollah is fighting at all, that is, vs. Israel, Hezbollah is a very clearly a tool that Iran can use to inflame the region, and yes, Iran does have a lot of political clout there. Hezbollah did something out of character a few weeks ago (probably on Iran's advising) and kidnapped two Israeli soldiers. Israel wants them back, plus, it's a good reason for them to flex their muscles. Sadly for Lebanon, the civilians got caught up in the mess, as terror groups + their supporters always end up, intentionally or not, using surrounding people as shields/hostages, and lots of Lebanese have suffered under Israeli airstrikes.
After a few weeks, Israel's troops, while successful, were not able to achieve a decisive victory, and Hezbollah has been damaged, and probably running a bit low on ammunition since they've been cut off from their supporters by the bombings and the blockade, so both sides are willing to negotiate a peace.
If you want a SUPER long answer, well, we can trace this conflict all the way back to Biblical or even Ancient Roman times if you want. It's interesting history, and morbidly fascinating that 2000 year old problems continue to this day.

This is a very delicate question you've asked, and there might be some "Kill the Jews, Israel and USA = biggest terrorist of all!!" and "Kill all ragheads lol they suxx0rz!" comments from the less moderate types. I've tried to avoid that. Hope it helps.

They are fighting because a little after the 2'nd world war, the world felt sorry for the jews and let(Well, didn't do anything about it) them steal a little land from off the gaza strip, as they hadn't had a country for a few hundred yrs.

The gaza strip is roughly rectangular, and instead of taking a slice off the side, they took a chunk out of the middle. this kinda pissed off the locals(I wonder why...)
so violence towards israilies escalated, eventually becomming a 'war'.

Why they stopped? No clue. apparently the result of 'negotiations'. Although to say the fighting stopped would be a mis-representation of the truth, it was merely toned down a little bit.

Why it resumed? because someone couldn't get their own way. and got real pissed with getting no-where fast.

Lebanon and Hezbollah are not fighting. Hezbollah is a millitant Islamic group that hides out in Lebanon (among other places I'm sure). Hezbollah started some crap with the Israelis and the Jews answered back.

They weren't fighting, not each other anyway. The problem is Israel and that is the cause of the fighting. Israel is the aggressor and occupier and the root cause of all the troubles.

Hezbollah is not a terrorist group except in the minds of Israelis and certain US politicians. The conflict did NOT start centuries ago, it defining moment for the current conflict came in November of 1917 when the British issued the Balfour Declaration. The real problems began about 60 years ago when the Zionists started attacking the indigenous Arab population of Palestine.

Basically Hezbollah kidnapped some Israeli soldiers so Israel said that unless they gave them back and Lebanon disarm Hezbollah they would start bombing. They stopped because the UN got them to agree to a ceasefire.
