If a person has a SS card printed "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH INS/DHS AUTHORIZATION", does this person have to get an approval prior to working every new job?

Who obtains the approval, the worker or the employer?

Please answer only if you know. I would have called the SS office if I wanted to go that route.

You only have to get approval ONE time no matter how many jobs you got so long as the authorization is still active.

Yes. That's what the phrase means. Approval must be obtained.
