I *still* have the aluminum frame Pickett Log-log, Duplex, Decitrig, that I got in '61 (and for which I shelled out the then Princely sum of $24.95 plus tax)
Every once in a while I *still* whip it out and run a calculation (just to astound students or collegues )
The *real* weapon of math destruction was a book titled "Higher Mathematics for Engineers and Physicists" by Ivan and Elizabeth Sokolnikoff. If you could get through *that* one, you were good
