because the white part is out past your skin if that make any sence. it is the part that is not conected to the skin lol :) and the skin is pink, so that part is white :)

when they grow longer, they separate from the finger, so they turn white. they're naturally kind of clear, but they look pink because they're attached to your finger. If they were pink from cuticle to tip, your fingers would be growing with your nails, making them impossible to cut. Pay attention in school!

your nails are white, all the way from cuticle to tip, what you see as pink is the skin underneath where it is attached.

Go ahead a rip an entire nail off, you'll see that it is white once you get the blood off.

because afer a certain point the nail isn't touching the skin anymore. the pink is just ur flesh showing thru the nail.

well that only happens if you drink a lot of milk.

as you hopefully know milk helps grow strong bones.....and it also helps build stong nails my nails are white becuase i drink a real lot of milk and have been my whole life.

because they are only pink where they are attached to the skin ...above that where they arent attached there is no colour behind it so it shows as white

because fingernails are actually a fungus that grows from the calcium that your body produces. the white part is "dead" so it loses the color
