I am going to buy a brand new puter. which one would you buy for yourself at home ?

HP rules!!
I have a few Dell and that is because they are cheap but they get noisy by the end of first year itself. but a HP is great! Presarios were great products as long as it was sold under the Compaq umbrella ( used to sell them ) but since Compaq was bought over by HP I really do not know how presario rates.
Don't know about IBM , MAC and gateway so can not help you on that!

I prefer to build the computer myself then to trust any company to do it. Saves money and gives you a learning experience.

I dig my dell laptop at home and my dell desktop at work...
but as for best I really don't know...
