Heel spur???? Try rolling a can of cold whatever around in the arch of your foot to where it hurts...elevate your foot whenever possible, wear shoes with good arch supports..Can you see a podiatrist? I have had them on both heels and they feel like you are being jabbed with an icepick..is it worse when you get up in the morning...look up heel spurs and see if I am right.

It sounds like you have a heel spur. It makes your heel feel like the bone is going to puncture the skin. My doctor recommended buying shoes with arch supports. They really help.

The other possibility is plantar fascitis. The plantar fascia is a band of connective tissue that goes from under your heel up towards your ankle. When it is inflamed, it is very painful. When I've had it, I was given prednisone.

However, I do think that what you describe sounds more like a heel spur. It should show up on x-rays.

Heel pain in a young person (and sexually active) can be 1) A sign of Reiter's syndrome showing "heel spur" or a bony growth on your hell (X-rays film will show that.
2) Plantar fasciaitis if you run prequently or do bicycling a lot (not visible in X-arys films)
3) A heel fracture if you jump from a high area and landed on your heel (X-rays film will show that)
That's it!!

This is a perfect question to ask your doctor or go to the emergency room, or find a new doctor.
