why do the liberals weaken the military strength and morale of the country by vilifying the practice of armed combat and hesitating to use force when it appears necessary.
I have heard countless times by high authority military personal (my father is one of the guys who controls the SOCOM or united states special operations command) that its because the liberals, that America is having such a hard time with the war on terror. They want to turn our military into a police force, which is in capable of fighting terror. I mean it seems like there gona take away the marines m16 only to be replaced by a can of mass.
I figure I wanted to here your sides of the story before making my own decision, but please no opinions based on what you see on CNN. I know the media is extremely bias.

Liberals are a bunch of crossaint eating surrender monkeys. They blame America for it's wealth and success. Further, liberals think that you can reason with the terrorists. If we (Americans) just understood them...what a bunch of hooey. Nuke them to they glow and shoot them in the dark.

The damn media is the problem...Remember when the Iraq war started and Geraldo pointed out the troops' position on a map drawn in the sand which was broadcast everywhere? He should have been crucified for that. Asswipe. And, war crimes, such as rape and murder have happened in every war since the beginning of time. I am not saying it is okay, but war is not pretty. And that sheehan lady....jeez, I mean, what did she think her son signed up for when he joined the military? benefits and a free ride? She should stuff a sock in it.
(And I know that iraq and 9/11 weren't the same thing initially).

I think the real reason is that they still have this Vietnam ideology.
It's not necessarily every liberal, but I think it's definitely the Baby Boomers. They are stuck in a time warp, and somehow think this is still the 1960's. They want to protest just for the sake of protesting. They did it back in the 60's, and they are doing it today.
When they see Iraq - they don't see Iraq - they see Vietnam.
When they see Bush - they don't see Bush - they see Nixon.
When they see a protest march - they don't see a protest march - they see themselves as teenagers. Participating in an anti-war protest makes them feel younger, more vital, and in control of the world again. They see Woodstock, Hait Ashburrey, and the Civil Rights Movement.
They are reminded of heroes like Martin Luther King.
They are reminded of slogans like "Make love - not war".
If they are going to relive something? Too bad they couldn't relive the first time they lit up a joint, dropped out, and turned on. Too bad they couldn't just step aside, and let the younger generation take charge of things. These are the people after all, about who all of these life and death decisions are being made.
We still need liberals in this country, just as much as we need conservatives. And hippies can still be cool sometimes, even if they are a little outdated. They just need to step aside, and let the rest of us handle things - that's all.

The Army is full of wooses.
Real men don't care what you think or say. If this was being carried out the Marine Corps way your daddy could be home watching TV and drinking beer.
USMC style, Kill them all and let God sort it out.
The Marines hate married soldiers they just slow you down. When I was in combat we sent the married guy away. Always crying about getting hurt or their snot nosed kids back in the doublewide. Marines are fighting men not family men. Married soldiers are for the desk jobs where gutless wooses work.

Yea, terror, the new slogan for the conserves to run on for
2008. I'm not falling for it. Anyone can get a gun & go out &
find someone to be the enemy.
I'm going for the people who use their brains to benefit
medical & scientific research.
Brute force really never accomplishes anything.
Well, maybe fear, for the suckers who fall for it.
6 yrs. of terror & fear & where are we? Japan is light yrs.
ahead of us with their technology & just today, I heard that
another country has discovered 3 more planets.
Not to mention, Brazil, who no longer has to depend on
foreign oil.

if you ask me we're loosing the war on terror because WE'RE FIGHTING IT IN IRAQ, WHEN IF YOU READ THE 9-11 REPORT, IT CLEARLY STATES THAT IRAQ WAS NOT INVOLVED...
9-11 report was a government report by the way...
in other words.... you don't go to the desert to go fishing...
