I have a 91 grand caravan that is in good shape except for the transmission. It isn't too serious but when you stop, sometimes it goes into neutral and you have to rev the engine to get it back into drive. What should i do to fix this? Will lucas oil transmissionfix work?

There is a slim possiblity that it's just low on fluid which indicates that you have a leak somewhere, but more than likely, you have an internal transmission problem. The A604 and the A670 transmission used in the Caravan are not the best ever made. They are not the worst and are relatively inexpensive as far as transmissions are concerned. The first thing you should do is let the vehicle run in park until it is at operating temprature and then check the transmission fluid level. If it is low, add ATF+3 (Chrysler transmission fluid). If it is not low, proceed to your local AAMCO, Cottman, or what ever major name you have where you live for a diagnostic. Lucas makes many great products, but none that will repair your transmission. Actually, additives are great for preventative maintenance, but once a problem starts, they can lead to faster deterioration.

Lucas' will not fix your problem. These transmissions are known for their problems. You may only have a clogged filter. I would start w/ a trans flush. If that doesn't work it will need to be looked at by a trans shop,
