There was nothing for Isreal to gain except the 2 missing army dudes, and they did not get them back (as far as we know).

To destroy Hezbollah Israel must kill all Lebanese people... Hezbollah in the Lebanese resistance...
After 32 days Israel has killed only 100 members of Hezbollah and Hezbollah has killed more than 130 Israeli soldiers...
