You are no longer bulimic, right? Just give your body some time....you've been kinda rough on it. Also, I would go see a gynecologist to make sure everything is ok.

If you aren't bulimic [or anorexic] anymore, you're probably okay. Its rare for your period to hold off for more than a few months once you've started to eat again. Not having your period is also less a sign of bulimia and more a sign of anorexia.

That said, my friend started binging and purging when she was 13 and, after stopping a few years later, didn't get her period intil she was 19 - and even then, only with the help of doctors.

Mention it to your doctor next time you go. So far, you don't really have to worry - you're only 13 and that's not late to get your period, not yet - but if its bothering you, mention it sooner rather than later.

Don't worry too much though. Even if you are not getting your period because of your eating disorders, doctors can easily fix that.

If your below the normal weight for a girl your height, than that's probally why. When your body is starving, it shuts down other systems that aren't neccesary.
Or if your at a healthy weight now, than it could just be completely normal. Some girls don't even get it until their 16.
Having an eating disorder will only affect your periods while your underweight.

It is normal for a girl to be as old as 16 before getting her period.
Of course, an eating disorder is not normal, by definition.
Assuming your bulimia is under control and you are at a normal weight, you have nothing to worry about with your period. Ask your doctor if you're still concerned.

It could be that you're hitting puberty later than most, but improper nutrition (like that found in eating disorders) can seriosly mess with the menstual cycle. If you're not getting the proper amount of food, you body assumes (correctly) that you won't be able to support yourself AND a baby. If you start to get more nutrition it might start.

Its not bad, everyone gets their period at different times. I don't think I got mine til I was nearly 15. But I hope you aren't still bulimic. If you are, you need to see a doctor.

I got my period in the middle of 6th grade. I was almost 13. My best friend didn't get hers until she was 14 or 15 and she is fine to this day. (she is 42 years old and has 3 kids)

I also had an eating disorder, I had anorexia and it stoped my period as well, and it can be bad if you are still a bulimic,it can prevent you from having children, just try to be heathy and it should come back if you give it time.

good luck, stay heathy!

It's OK so long as you are healthy now. It is normal to get your period around 14, 15 or 16, even. If you are healthy, don't worry about it. If you are concerned, ask a doctor.

You might just get yours later than most, however the eating disorder is a MAJOR health concern, see a psychologist about that...
