That's a puzzle question. Badgers are such feisty little critters and very successful predators. They may never have needed a coloration for concealment.
The Panda is of course a mild, slow animal. There just probably were not many predators to take them out.
Color patterns were not invented. They evolved. Most paleontologists now feel that dinosaurs had colors (though the "proof" is non-existent because skin is rarely fossilized. The dinoaurs go back over 100 million years.
