My period is due in 2 days and I couldn't wait any longer to take a pg test (negative today) but have been having some cramping and a dull ache sometimes on one side sometimes in low abdomen (right above genitals) and have been for over a week- is this normal? or should I be concerned about ectopic pregnancy? Thanks

Wait until you are about 4 or 5 days late and then take a pregnancy test. Go talk to your doctor about taking a pregnancy test by blood if you want to know asap. As for the pain... it could be anything. It could be cysts on your ovaries... or you could have an ectopic pregnancy. With an ectopic pregnancy you should watch out for signs such as bleeding along with cramping... but only worry about that if you get a positive. If the pain continues and you have not started your period... go to the ER to see what is going on. Good luck!!

Wait until after you've missed then take a test. I think a ectopic pregnancy is more of a sharp pain but I am not sure. It could be that you period is about to start or you could have a cyst or something. If you feel worried about it go to the DR.

I dont know about the ectopic pregnancy but I know alot of people who have a dull ache there and feel a little slower than usual (physically) right before they get their period

Try taking the 1st response which detects pregnancy 5 days before your missed period. Try that or wait until you miss your period.

no its not but it could be that you are ovulating and those parts are filling up with blood or that you may have a disease like vaginitis or hpv or something else you should go get checked out. it could be the unexplainable pain women just have but i bet you get your period
