i know that 1/2 * 2=1
but how, if thats not the right answer ive been told wrong
and how does 3/4 *2=1/2

3/4 * 2 = 6/4 = 3/2 = 1.5

Are you sure it is not 1 1/2 for the 3/4*2

3/4*2=1.5
first u cancel 2 and 4.then it will be 3/2*1
3/2*1=3/2 and 3/2=1.5

You forgot the whole number. Three quarters times two equals one and a half.
