Michael Ballack has moved to Chelsea from Bayern Munich on a free transfer at the end of last season. he has given the jersey no 13 by coach Jose Mourinho, previously worn by William Gallas who is now holding the jersey no 19.
he was on the starting line-up for the English FA Community Shield but due to his hip problem, he was subsituted in the 23rd minute of the match.
