There are two ways to do it. When he sends you an IM there should be an ignore button on the IM. If not then he may be added to your list. Delete him off your list then press ignore. Or you can click Messenger on Yahoo Messenger, click Prefrences, then click Ignore list from the side panel. A list should appear of the ids you have ignored. Click Add and type in the persons id then press ok. Then press Apply on the last window.
If none of this stuff works then you may have to create another ID for yourself.

click the messenger button on the top of your messenger box and go to preferences and click ignore list and add them to the ignore list. Then delete them off of your list

Well there's usually a little box at the top of your screen that asks if you want to ignore that person. When you choose that option, it not only ignores the messages the person currently sent, it ignores any future messages they want to send.

when that person sends you an IM there is a little icon button next to the "add" plus sign.. push the other button.. thats the ignore and it will confirm with you so make sure you push yes if you really want to ignore them.
