Where in a divorce you acknowledge that there was a marriage in an annulment it is as if - at least legally - there never really was a marriage. Annulments are usually given only if the marriage never produced any children in the states that have laws that allow annulments (NY State for example). For religious puposes the annulment means you were never really married - again the focus here no children from the union. For the sake of all an annulment is actually better than a divorce - however there are few states in the United States you can get a legal annulment.

An annulment is saying that the wedding was never valid, and therefore "never happened". A divorce is the legal ending of a marriage. Neither is better, making the relationship work and going in never considering ending it is better.

An annulment means that it never happened, legally. Hard to get usually. the divorce means that there will be much more paperwork to come.

annulment means u never consummated ur vows!!
that's when u realized u made a mistake before u have sex!!!
U should be concentrating on how to be the person God called you to be...so that when HE does bring you a soulmate you are ready!!! don't concentrate on the negatives of this world!!!!
either way u look at it---annulment or divorce ---u are ending a marriage!!!!

a divorce all the legalities and annulment is like a divorce without all the legal stuff, it would be looked at like it "had never happened"

Annulment is generally within a few months. Taken to a lawyer,
filed if granted, it's like it never took place on any record. Divorce
civil court. Granted to either party. Filed and a public record.

As dumb as it sounds, an annulment means you were never officially married, and can marry in certain narrow-minded churches,
A divorce means you WERE legally married, but not anymore, and are free to remarry (except in the above-mentioned church).

An anullment is where you can get out of the marriage like it never happened. You have to look up your state to see what the grounds for an anullment would be.
I live in Illinois and say for instance I married a man who told me that he was a lawyer then I found out that he was a crook or he told me that we would have great sex then I found out that he is impotent.
A divorce is where you legally disolve your marriage be everyone knows that it happened.
