This summer I was in Dallas attending concert festival thing. After one of the shows we got lost in a fairly poor neighborhood looking for food. It was about midnight, and every place we saw that looked open and service food was crowded with young black guys hanging out. I remember feeling uncomfortable with stopping there, so we moved on. Here is what I was honestly thinking at the time: I have no problem with blacks, they are not different people, this isn't even an issue. But... what if they have a problem with me? That was the justification I had for pussing out and fleeing. I was afraid I would get hassled just for being a white guy.
Now I know I'm not racist like Rush Limbaugh or Bill O'Reilly... but these run-ins make me think? Am I a little racist? Is it unconscious racism? Are we all a little racist whether we like it or acknowledge it or not?

that is a very good question and intelligently put, nice to see somebody using their head and not anger, well, to retort.... I am racist, I wish I wasn't but I just don't see people the same and I haven't been proved otherwise so far. It's kinda like veggies I don't like the majority of them, mostly greens, but there are a few that I have tried and liked, although the majority are useless to me and do nothing but take up space as far as I care. I know that they are an essential part of life, but I can get the same or almost the same things from somewhere else without having to eat greens. I don't teach others to hate them I just have my opinion and I am more than open with it. I don't care if others don't like it, it's mine not yours if you don't like it oh well life isn't fair nobody ever said it was going to be fun and games. I know that I am comparing to totally diff things but you seem smart so I think you'll understand it, I hope anyway. Everyone judges, it is just how far they are willing to take it. You are hating too, just as we do only for different reasons. So... to conclude, if you are going to hate... it's better to be on the winning end.

Racism comes from a long tradition of family teaching and passed down knowledge. You see it starts out as inferiority..like humans to spiders. I hate spiders and crush them when i see them. I think they are low enough for me to kill...and talk about with no remorse.
In human deduction this is the same. At one point in time the race that is being hated was in a lower position..the hating race was in the upper position and ended up losing that place. The only solution and reaction to something that you owned walking away from you and discovering that they had a mind of their own was mind torture.
It comes from losing. Racist people have lost...they have lost their stature and position and are fighting to gain it back. The bad thing is that they will never be able to...thus they will remain hateful in hopes that they will gather enough people to become something once again. The pathetic thing is that they will need several billion to even begin.

1. I applaud your attempt to use hate to change their minds.......... it won't work. Hate begets hate. Educate and Liberate. It's much easier that way.
2. Have you ever picked on or even just snickered at anyone different from you? Not just color, but also glasses, bad hair cut, fat, accent, etc......... it's the same thing. Racists just picked color. And if you enjoyed whispering to your friends about the girl next to you having bad B.O. without knowing her (or the possible medical condition or low-income lifestyle she was stuck with), then you know how someone can enjoy hurting others.
Racism is in our world because we do not listen to a different point of view. If we continue to attack physically and verbally all those that are different, we will only spiral down further into the abyss. Talk to those you know about their racist behavior. If they tell a racist joke, ask them why they think it is funny. Really listen. Then tell them why it hurts you. If they won't respect you by listening to you in return, move on. Teach your children to not hate others for their differences, but at the same time, help them to understand that not all people are raised as they are. They will see hatred. They must pity it, not succumb to it.

the teacher explained that. When people have very low self esteem they put other people down. It is a form of bragging saying see I am better than that.
Usually it is with men who are flustrated sexually.
He probably can't get it up you know what I mean so he lashes out. Usually it is a flustrated homosexual. His boyfriend probably dumped him.
