I'm joining up in football and it is my first time with braces. I need good braces, made by shock doctor, but i have to have gel coverings. My mother is thinking they will ruin my teeth, will they? I currently have shock doctor MAX with the gel,but my mother wont let me wear them unless the orthodontist says its ok. Any good anwers are appreciated :)

My younger brother played 4 years of high school football (he played on the O-line and was a defensive line backer) with braces on his teeth. He went through a lot of mouthguards each season but he had beautiful teeth when they took the braces off! Have the orthodontist fit the mouthguard.

thats a good one...hmmmmm id have to say ask ur doctor and c what he recomends i play football to but im not sure about different kinds just ask for a recmondation from ur orthodonist

I think you should get a mouthpiece from the doctor.
